Look Around You. What Do You See?
#SpiritShorts: Today’s message is from Gene:
Look around you. What do you see? More importantly, what are you not seeing? If you’ve always felt that there is more to life than what meets the eye, you’re correct. However, if you’ve never had such a thought, you too are right. Therein lies the beauty of life. We each live in a reality of our choosing. For some, however, there exists a feeling, a knowing, an uneasiness that there is more. This feeling sets many on a quest of discovery. Initially, we look everywhere; until eventually we know the only place we will find answers lies within. In the grand scheme of things, your thoughts and feelings matter little. That is until that we realize that everything we hold as true and real is indeed only one perspective, one interpretation. Look around you. What do you see?

Hello Rev. Terry,
A simple example on how our perception affects the way we see things around us is a visit to the park with a different mood. One day try to visit when you feel happy and the next day visit the park with a bad mood. The trees, the benches, the people who are there will give the feeling of something very different than the previous day. This can show us how the way we perceive reality can totally change everything.
It was great connecting with you and Gene today! Wishing you all the best!
