Knowing and understanding, each are required for awareness. Trusting what you know and understanding it’s meaning, without delusion, is mastery of your vessel.

A message from my Spirit Teacher, Nathanial.

Today’s Lesson: The phrase mastery of your vessel is very interesting in today’s message. Each vessel on the sea has a master, a single person in charge with ultimate authority, control and responsibility for the operations and management of the vessel and those on board. While our vessels only have one on board, we often forget that we, our spiritual self or that thinking self is the master of the vessel.

With this fact as background, knowing and understanding are required elements of awareness. Another interesting concept in that we know so much, but how much do we truly understand? We know, 2+2=4, but how much do we really understand what that means? It’s the context of the knowing that we must understand. Bits of information mean different things and have different meanings depending on the context in which they arise. “I love you” means something quite different when said by your Mom, verses a new lover. All-in-all a very insightful message pointing us in the direction of enlightenment.
