In the end, there is only one thing that matters, Love. Between then and now what matters is walking your path with awareness and harmony being responsible for each.
A message from my Spiritual Teacher, Gene.
OpEd: In my Spiritualist Church‘s philosophy, we assert reincarnation is integral in our development as spiritual beings. We are animals who have evolved through the main line of evolution to the animal called man (homo sapiens sapiens). Each life and death cycle gave us the opportunity to progress from simple beings to more complicated entities.
Once reaching man, we have a brain sophisticated enough for abstract thought, language, self-awareness and a concept of God. This progression ends with our reaching individual, spiritual perfection.
With this background, we can look at the main lesson we begin to learn once we can manage a human body. That lesson is the giving and receiving of love in it’s every aspect. As Gene mentioned, Love is the only thing that matters. What’s interesting is Gene’s comment that between the end and right now, it’s being responsible for walking our paths with harmony and awareness.
Another way of saying it’s the journey and not the destination that matters. After all, if we are walking our paths with awareness and harmony would we not also be walking with Love?
My Church is the Chapel of Awareness Spiritual Church in Encinitas, CA. We are Spiritualist but not of the typical American Spiritualist Church. We are not God, Bible or Christ based. We accept the Golden Thread of Truth where ever we find it. One of my favorite sayings from Tau Sing, the co-founder of the Chapel is, “If you came across a frog speaking the words of Jesus, would you not stop and listen?” Spiritual Truth it Spiritual Truth regardless of it’s source.
