There are limitless paths to perfection. Each as unique as your fingerprints. Your only barriers are fear based self-doubt and distractions.
A message from my Spirit Teacher, Nathanial.
OpEd: Today’s message from Nathanial is both good and bad news. The good news, there are only two spiritual barriers between you and perfection. The bad news, one is fear the other distractions.
First, let’s look at the spiritual barrier that fear based self-doubt presents. Fear blocks psychic abilities. Fear also reeks havoc with our physical bodies with all of the stress hormones it has released into our bodies. It’s this psychic blindness that is the source of our self-doubt.
There are reams of information about managing self-doubt, and it’s cousins for self-esteem and self-worth. The bottom-line from Spiritualist standpoint is to control your fear, thus opening your psychic sight and seeing the world as it is. From here, standing in your brilliance and inherent perfection you take your place as the rightful master of your life.
The second spiritual barrier is somewhat more difficult to manage. Distractions abound in many shapes and forms. In my experience, most distractions show up as some obsession which controls our life. Here are some common distractions.
- Love, sex, jealousy and marriage.
- Our health and well-being (over or under concerned).
- Work, job, career, business or vocation.
- Religious fervor and heresy.
- Wealth (its accumulation or lack there-of).
- Past events, episodes, wrongs, betrayals or misgivings.
- Bad behavior (substance abuse, promiscuity, anti-social issues).
These are the main categories of distractions. We each seem to have our personal variations of these. To understand distraction, it’s anything that takes you off your game. By keeping your head in the game of spiritual perfection, you walk the middle path or the straight and narrow, which is simply the easiest path to follow.
As you look at your life, be certain you love and accept who you are. You’re perfect just the way you are. Once you know you’re perfect, you can begin to sort out the distractions you’ve created to compensate for your perceived imperfections.
For me, the access to accepting my perfection was my relationship with my Spirit Guides and Teachers. The know everything there is to know about me and love and accept me unconditionally. As to distractions, I’m still cleaning up the karma of my past distractions. But, I am doing a decent job of not allowing too many new distractions to take my head out of the game.
