At the horizon of awareness is the promise of so much. In the light of reality, these promises are real and only limited by the acceptance of your worth.

A message from my Spirit Teacher, Tau Chuan Ling.

OpED: Why is Spiritual Self Worth and Esteem so important?

In the dark recesses of our mind lies a simple mechanism that determines your ability to live the life you want. It determines your happiness, riches, health, attractiveness and level of accomplishment. This mechanism is your belief in yourself, your self-esteem and worthiness.

The mechanism was created by a young child and adolescent in direct response to the environment in which raised them. This mechanism acts in a similar manner to governor placed on an engine.

This psychic governor limits the happiness, fulfillment, and that which is possible for its creator/owner. It operates in the background within the deepest parts of our mind and shape every input to conform with its purpose. The purpose is to protect us and keep us from being hurt.

It’s pervasively protective nature serves to eliminate any perceived threat from our awareness. It’s called our identity, personality or persona and shapes every experience of lives.

This governor does its job so well that it requires constant shining the searchlight of awareness on it constantly to notice the influence it has on our lives.

Tools for developing Spiritual Self Worth and Esteem:

  • Meditation
  • A journal
  • Awareness (a searchlight)
  • Affirmations (seeds of change)
  • Intentions (a spotlight)

These tools used and mastered allow us to live a life of our choosing with little interference from this part of our being. Does it ever go away? No, when looking at Buddhist Masters, who have attained enlightenment, they describe how the moment of Enlightenment ends and life as we know it returns.

Before enlightenment, chop wood, carry water. After enlightenment, chop wood, carry water.

However, you have experience and knowledge of and ungoverned existence which influences our understanding of life and living abundantly. From which our Spiritual Self Worth and Esteem begin to impact and affect our physical self-worth and esteem.
