Today’s message is from Nathanial, who shares:
How much time, energy and attention do you devote to discovering who you are? For most, the person we are changes based on the circumstances of the moment. At home, we are one person, at work another, and with friends, yet another. For most of us this behavior seems appropriate and natural but causes a big problem when our various communities intermix, who will we be then. Imagine allowing yourself to forget all pretense and be the person you truly are. Who knows, you may even like this person, the more you get to know them.
NOTE: Today’s message has us consider the age old question, “Who am I?” – What I find interesting about the way Nathanial sets up and asks the question is the inherent nature of how we lie to our selves and others about who we are, or more specifically, who we think we are.
