A message from my Spirit Teacher, Gene.
Spirit Shorts Episode 94: Your Spiritual Path.
Happy Easter. The celebration of the promise of the man who was Jesus.
There are three verses from the new testament that set the stage for a Spiritual life and Spiritualism.
The first verse is John 14:12, which Gene mentioned in his message.“Timeless truth, I tell you: ‘Whoever believes in me, those works which I have done he will also do, and he will do greater works than these, because I am going to the presence of my Father.”
The second verse being Matthew 6:6: “But you, when you pray, enter into your closet and lock your door, and pray to your Father who is in secret, and your Father, who sees in secret, will reward you in public.”
The third verse is John 4:24: “For The Spirit is God, and it is fitting that those who worship him worship in The Spirit and in The Truth.”
As we seek a spiritual path, the way is simple. For most, too simple. The way was laid out by Buddha 400 years before Jesus lived.
- Live a moral life.
- Be mindful of your thoughts and actions.
- Develop wisdom and understanding.
Jesus was born to fulfill the messianic prophecy from the old testament. His intention was to transform the religion of the Jews. While his method was different than that of the Buddha, his message was quite similar.
His God is Spirit. His message was love. His demonstration was miracles. His way was the Golden Rule or do unto others as you would have them do unto you. His practice was meditation. His promise that you can perform these miracles and more.
As you consider traveling a Spiritual Path, realize everything you seek lies within your awareness. It’s your ability to quite your mind that guides you along the path to awakening.
The Biblical quotes in this article are from the Aramaic translation of the Bible.
